STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe:
1. In one triune God (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19; John 14:26, 15:26, 17:21-23):
In God the Father Almighty (2 Cor 6:18), Creator of heaven and earth (Gen 14:19).
In Jesus Christ our Lord (Phil 2:11), the only Son of God (John 1:18). Conceived by the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary & became man (Matt 1:18). For our sake, He was crucified (John 19:16,18), suffered, died, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day in fulfillment of the Scriptures (1 Cor 15:3-4). He ascended into heaven (Luke 24:51) and is seated at the right hand of the Father (Col 3:1). Jesus shall come again in glory to judge the living and the dead (2 Tim 4:1). His Kingdom will have no end (John 3:16). Jesus Christ is the one Mediator between God and the human race (1 Tim 2:5) and alone is our Redeemer (Isaiah 48:17; Psalm 49:7-8; Mark 10:45; 1 Tim 2:6; Matt 20:28, 26:28; John 1:29, 3:16-17; Col 1:19-23; Titus 2:13-14).
In the Holy Spirit (John 4:24), the Lord (2 Cor 3:17-18) and giver of life (John 6:63). The Holy Spirit has spoken through the prophets (Isaiah 61:1) and guides until the end of time (John 14:16-17).
2. Through His infinite mercy, God offers us salvation through faith in Jesus Christ (Mark 16:16, Titus 3:5-7, Heb 11:6, Eph 2:8-10). Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen (Heb 11:1). Repentance (Acts 2:38-39, 17:30), obedience to His commands (John 14:15,21) and good works (James 2:24,26) are manifestations of faith.
3. That all Scripture is God-breathed (2 Tim 3:16-17; 1 Pet 1:25; 2 Pet 1:20-21).
4. That God created man in His image, male and female He created them, to be fruitful and multiply, filling and subduing the earth (Gen 1:27-28).
5. That the people of God, the Church (1 Cor 12:13; Matt 28:19-20; Eph 2:19-22), are to keep God's commandments (Deut 10:12-13; John 14:15,21,23-24; 1 John 2:3-5; Eph 4:22-24), pray for one another (1 Tim 2:1-4; Rom 15:30; Col 1:9-10; James 5:16) and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matt 4:19, 28:19-20). In working together to strengthen the people of God, so that all may be one and thus help convince the world that Jesus Christ was sent by the Father Almighty (John 17:21).
6. In one baptism (Eph 4:5) for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38, 22:16), in the resurrection of the dead (1 Thes 4:14) and in the life of the world to come (2 Pet 3:13).
7. That children are a gift of God (Psalm 127:3), human life begins at conception (Psalm 139:13-16; Jer 1:5; Isaiah 44:24) also known as fertilization, all humans are created with the right to life (Exodus 20:13) and we are called to aid the least among us (Matt 25:40; Luke 9:48).
